Hearing Accessible Church

We would be glad to add you!
My dear Caring friend,
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. The LORD is gracious and full of compassion…and of great mercy.” Ps. 145:8
Did you ever hear the statement, “Be careful what you pray for, God may make you the answer to your own prayer?”
Since 2006, I have kept searching and praying for a church to open its heart for the hard of hearing people. People with hearing loss seem to be overlooked as their disability seems invisible and is not seen as life threatening.
We are looking for a church that will be hearing accessible in every department, not just the main sanctuary. Every church we visit has people who are left out from the rest of the congregation because they cannot hear and function in a normal hearing situation. Hard of hearing members remain silent about their struggle. They come to church to hear the Word of God and go home empty.
Why doesn't anyone respond to the need of the hearing impaired? Churches will spend thousands of dollars to meet the need of a member confined to wheelchair, but seldom consider building a ramp of accessibility for the hearing disabled in their own church.
Our friend who is profoundly hard of hearing dropped out church. He started to learn sign language, but had no one at home to sign with. He yearns to find a church service, Bible study and prayer fellowship. I pledged to find a church that would accept him, but my search has been in vain.
You know someone who suffers with hearing loss. Perhaps you have a definite hearing loss and understand the plight of the millions of others who are hearing impaired. There is not a church, club, business, organization or family that doesn't have someone who suffers hearing loss.
“Lord, I have prayed and fasted for this need, why can't I find a hearing accessible church?” The answer came loud and clear, “Start your own church for hearing disabled people.” God has asked me to become the answer my own prayer.

“What shall I name the church?” I asked. The answer swelled up inside me, “The Promised Land Community Church .”
This church would be designed for hearing handicapped people and their families and friends. It will be fully equipped with the latest technology to make the Word of God clear for people who have difficulty understanding words.
The “ramp” for hard of hearing people is hearing accessibility; to be able to see, hear and understand everything sung, and spoken in every department.
Pray for us as we begin this new venture of organizing and establishing The Promised Land Community Church for hard of hearing people and their families. It should be in operation early in 2010. To my knowledge this may be the first church of its kind for total hearing needs anywhere.
Here is my plea to you.
- Pray that the LORD will bless this outreach abundantly
- Spread the news everywhere to hard of hearing people
- Believe that souls will be saved through this ministry
- Get involved in the ministry locally, if you live in the area
- Begin supporting this ministry financially
- Help us secure a building to meet in
Pray Hard Until Something Happens . We serve a God of might and miracles. Nothing is impossible with God. Persistence makes the impossible possible. Use the enclosed photo as a daily prayer reminder.
